Gen Con 2025 Hits New Heights

Nearly 72,000 attendees packed the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, marking the largest turnout in Gen Con’s history.The event generated an estimated $82 million economic impact to the community. With over 575 exhibitors, Gen Con 2025 had the most extensive showcase ever. Wizards of the Coast launched a new “Legends of Greyhawk” campaign using the classic Greyhawk setting. It emphasizes “less rules, more fun,” letting players reach level 3 across a series of playable sessions. Additionally, attendees previewed “Heroes of the Borderlands”, a miniatures-heavy starter set, and new content for the Forgotten Realms.
Gamefound Acquires Indiegogo

Gamefound, a leading crowdfunding platform in the tabletop space, is purchasing Indiegogo. This merger will combine Indiegogo’s 38 million users with Gamefound’s more specialized crowdfunding technology. The deal retains Gamefound’s pricing model and leaves promotional and tipping structures in place. Both platforms will continue operations.
A Sims Board Game Drops

An official Sims board game, developed by Goliath, just hit shelves. It launched as a Target exclusive, but it should be available to other outlets after a short period. The game introduces Sims-themed mechanics like needs tracking and character aspirations, blending The Game of Life style with satirical charm.
Attack on Titan RPG Revealed
Announced during Gen Con 2025, the first official Attack on Titan tabletop RPG is in the works. Developed by Panini Comics in collaboration with Need Games!, the as-yet-unnamed RPG invites players to create their own storylines and potentially explore alternate endings to the narrative.
The Witcher: Legacy Launches on Gamefound
CD Projekt Red and Go On Board are crowdfunding The Witcher: Legacy, a cooperative board game for 1–4 players. It revisits the downfall of the School of the Wolf in Kaedwen and offers a branching narrative tied to the Nightmare of the Wolf anime.
Diablo RPG Leaps into Tabletop

Diablo: The Roleplaying Game, developed by Glass Cannon Unplugged, will launch via Kickstarter in Fall 2025. The system removes traditional underpowered level 1 characters—players begin as battle-hardened heroes right from session zero. The game features a custom D6 dice-pool mechanic, premium miniatures, and contributions from notable designers such as John Harper, Graham McNeill, and Francesco Nepitello.
Warframe Invaders the Starfinder Universe
“Operation Orias,” an official Warframe adventure, is coming to Paizo’s Starfinder RPG. Set in that universe, it includes premade characters, lore, and customizable elements. The adventure will be available as a PDF in late October 2025 and requires the Starfinder Player Core rulebook.

Launched in July 2025, the Gundam Card Game quickly gained traction as a strategic, fast-paced trading card game featuring well-loved mobile suits and pilots from across the Gundam universe—ranging from the original series to Wing and The Witch from Mercury.
